Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Introduction
Planbok ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Multi-Party Computation (MPC) infrastructure and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you provide securely to us, such as your email address, name, and contact details during account registration or support inquiries. This information is strictly used for authentication, service delivery, and communication purposes.
2.2 Technical Data & Logs
To maintain the integrity and security of our infrastructure, we automatically collect certain technical information when you access our Services. This includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, device identifiers, and interaction logs. These logs are crucial for our audit trails, fraud detection mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
2.3 Blockchain Data
Due to the inherent nature of blockchain technology, transactions processed through our system are public on the respective blockchain networks. While we do not control this public data, our internal systems treat your transaction metadata, wallet addresses, and policy configurations as confidential.
3. Our Security Architecture (MPC)
Our infrastructure is built on advanced Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology designed to ensure that no single point of failure exists for your private key materials.
- Key Share Distribution: Private keys are never constructed in whole. Instead, they exist as separate cryptographic shares distributed across isolated nodes. Planbok does not possess the ability to unilaterally access your funds or sign transactions without authorized approvals defined by your policy engine.
- Zero-Knowledge Proofs: Our signing processes utilize zero-knowledge protocols, ensuring that no sensitive key material is ever exposed during the transaction signing process, either in transit or at rest.
- Infrastructure Security: We employ rigorous encryption standards (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Our servers execute within secure enclaves where applicable, providing hardware-level isolation for sensitive computations.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain our MPC wallet infrastructure.
- To improve, personalize, and expand our Services.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security breaches.
- To comply with legal obligations, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements where applicable.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and technical logs only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Audit logs related to transaction approvals and signing events are retained securely to provide you with an immutable history of your account activity.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
7. Your Data Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information. Please note that certain data related to blockchain transactions or security audits may be immutable or required by law to be retained.
8. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any disputes related thereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
